Today we are looking at openSUSE 15.1 alpha and we are looking at the KDE version, even though you can choose the Gnome edition as well when installing openSUSE. The software is a bit old, KDE Plasma 5.12.7, Linux Kernel 5.14, but it is extremely stable and that is what Leap is all about, and Tumbleweed is their rolling fresh distro. This is still the alpha release and it is very stable indeed. One thing that makes OpenSUSE great is Yast, I didn't have enough time to have a close look at it is a great tool for sysadmins and others, so please have a closer look at it, if you are not familiar with it.
You might see some differences in this video, from my usual videos, as I normally record distros via virtual machines, but I couldn't get openSUSE to work well in a VM so I used an HDMI recorder, so if you see some unusual things, it might be the reason. Enjoy!
