How to install Minecraft on Ubuntu 19.04

Today we are looking at how to install Minecraft on Ubuntu 19.04.  You might be surprised that I am not installing Minecraft through the official deb package, but unfortunately, it is not currently working in Ubuntu 19.04, so I am using a PPA to install it.

I am completely trusting this PPA as it is created by Martin Wimpress, he works for Canonical and also the creator of Ubuntu MATE, and a person can also see all the code of the PPA in the link below.

The reason why the deb package isn't currently working is that it is using an older version of JAVA which is no longer available in Ubuntu 19.04, but the PPA is already updated to a newer version of JAVA.

As seen in the video, it is easy to add the PPA, a person opens a terminal and copy/paste these two commands and follow the instructions.  If you are not using Ubuntu and the second command doesn't work, then you need to run this command also, sudo apt update.  Enjoy!

Commands Used:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:flexiondotorg/minecraft
sudo apt install minecraft-installer
