This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.
On a few Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU this method doesn't work. Then we recommend, if you have a fully paid Minecraft Java account, that you look at MultiMC. If you don't have a fully paid Minecraft Java account, you can try Minetest, a legally free alternative inspired by Minecraft.
