Today we are looking at how to install Teamspeak 3 Client on Solus 4.0. It is a long process but not as difficult as you can see in the videos and instructions below.
A person downloads the installation package, then make it executable, then install the package via, the terminal, as seen in the video, then we create the /opt directory, normally in Linux it is there as third-party apps stores their data their but not in Solus so we create it and then move Teamspeak there as all users can connect and use it then on the system. Lastly, we install a menu editor and add Teamspeak to our menu. Enjoy!
1) Download TeamSpeak
teamspeak.com
2) Installation:
sudo ./TeamSpeak3-Client-linux*
3) Move installation to a place where all users on the system can access it
sudo mkdir /opt
sudo mv TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64 /opt/
4) Test installation
/opt/TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64/ts3client_runscript.sh
5) Add an icon to the menu:
icon location:
/opt/TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64/styles/default/logo-128x128.png
sudo apt-get install alacarte
