How to install Vivaldi 3.0 on a Chromebook


Today we are looking at how to install Vivaldi 3.0 on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

In this tutorial, we firstly enable Linux Apps on our system, then we update or Linux Apps repositories.  After that, we download the Vivaldi DEB installer, and lastly, we install it with the build-in Linux installer.  Enjoy!

Please take note that with the release of Chrome OS 90,  the location of Linux Apps has been changed in the Chromebook’s settings.  Have a look at this tutorial, to see how to turn on Linux apps and then continue with the installation tutorial.

Command Used:
1) sudo apt update

Update:  In Chrome OS 83 Linux Apps has an option now, not seen in this video as it was recorded before Chrome OS 83, to choose a username for your Linux Apps,  it is completely optional and you can just press on the install option to continue, as seen in the video.  Please send us a comment on YouTube if you need assistance!
