How to install Stepmania 5.0 on a Chromebook

Today we are looking at how to install Stepmania 5.0 on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Commands Used:
1) sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list sources.list
2) sudo echo deb https://deb.debian.org/debian stretch main  | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
3) sudo apt update
4) sudo apt install libva1
5) sudo mv sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list
6) sudo apt update
7) sudo apt install libmad0 libvorbisfile3 libglu1-mesa libpangoxft-1.0-0
8) wget https://github.com/stepmania/stepmania/releases/download/v5.0.12/StepMania-5.0.12-Linux.tar.gz
9) tar -xf StepMania-5.0.12-Linux.tar.gz 
10) ./StepMania-5.0.12-Linux/stepmania-5.0/stepmania --disable-framerate-limit
11) sudo apt install menulibre
12) menulibre
