Please take note, that you need to use an older version of Linux, as seen in the tutorial for this application to work, and other Linux Applications might not work well with it, but Netbeans 8.1 should work as expected.

Update: with the release of Chrome OS 96, the Linux container on a Chromebook has been upgraded to a newer version. Because of this, this tutorial sadly no longer works. we apologise for the inconveniences.
