How to install the Brave Beta Browser on a Chromebook in 2023


Today we are looking at how to install the Brave Beta Browser on a Chromebook.  Please follow the video/audio guide as a tutorial where we explain the process step by step and use the commands below.

This tutorial will only work on Chromebooks with an Intel or AMD CPU (with Linux Apps Support) and not those with an ARM64 architecture CPU.

Commands Used:
1) sudo apt install apt-transport-https curl gnupg
2) curl -s https://brave-browser-apt-beta.s3.brave.com/brave-core-nightly.asc | sudo apt-key --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/brave-browser-prerelease.gpg add -
3) echo "deb [arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-beta.s3.brave.com/ stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-beta.list
4) sudo apt update
5) sudo apt install brave-browser-beta
6) brave-browser-beta --disable-framerate-limit
